Calling

Well hey there!

I kind of, sort of forgot that I actually blog. I know I say this about a million times a week but I have been so unexpectedly busy that I don't even have a life anymore.

Okay. I didn't have a life before either but at least I have a pretty good excuse now.

Let's continue like I never stopped.

Kinsley is being dedicated on Sunday at church and I'm so excited! Matt and I are coming together to do it for her along with family. This is going to be a huge day! She's been loving the nursery at the church so far and love, love, loves the worship music (she always asks for more haha).

The last day of my fast was Monday evening and I've basically continued it since then. Only eating fruits, veggies, water, and of course everything gluten-free. I've found that the majority of Gluten-Free things are desserts. While I don't mind it, I do need other choices lol so I'm going to have to start getting creative. I did find the brand "VANS" that seems pretty good so far! Along with Liz Lovely, who makes delicious cookies!

I've found that it's a lot easier being gluten-free because I have no choice but to stay away from the unhealthy things I use to consume before. I can't eat whatever I want and by the time I'm done reading a label to see if it has wheat in it, I'm not hungry anymore haha!

Grocery shopping does take a lot longer now though, so grocery stores? I recommend you do what Publix does and put a giant "GF" next to the Gluten-Free products so I don't have to spend two hours at the store. One hour for reading labels. It's exhausting. But it does make me stick to fresh veggies and fruits. lol

Tomorrow my birthday cake will be ready! I found an amazing gluten-free bakery here in town that also happens to be vegan so she is making my cake and I can't wait! I can't wait to show y'all. I wish you could taste it! I have been really surprised by how good things taste still and sometimes they taste even better. This transition has been a lot easier than I thought it would be. I'm really proud of myself for continuing on with the healthy eating habits.

I don't have pictures from this week but for an update on the weight loss, I have lost 30 lbs already.
I saw one of my friends last weekend and then again this past Wednesday. She told me that she could see a huge difference in just that week alone. I'm pretty happy with how things are going. Again this isn't a weight loss plan but has been really helpful ha!

I'll have to take some "after" pictures! Kinsley and I have a shoot coming up with Corinna Hoffman again so there will be more updated pics! woo!

I'm working on a recipe, shopping guide, and ways to save for gluten-free products for y'all. If this is something that you're considering, please feel free to ask questions! This really has been the best thing to happen! God really did amazing things during our Awakening Conference! Not that I doubted it but has been so awesome to see things unfold!

Speaking of God doing awesome things, I'm attending SEU in the spring for pre-law. If you go through my church's campus you can do certain things for the church. Well I wasn't aware of this until last week. I've been praying and praying for some kind of I don't know about my future lol and then a random table was at the church last Sunday with information about our campus. I went over the papers and flyers, signed up and have Open House on the 19th. The best thing though? I had to pick two tracks that I was interested in that I get to sit in on. My main track is student ministries!!! Student Ministries was the first thing this lady said to me when she asked me what tracks I wanted to do. Ahh! I'm pretty sure that was God saying "here you go". I've been praying so much for guidance on how to tell my story and help others. I've wanted to be a speaker/mentor/leader/guide whatever you want to call it, for youth and young adults for SO LONG. My heart is really happy about this!

What is new with y'all!?

Happy Friday!
