Speakers & Cakes

Yesterday I started my quest for gluten-free foods and ended up at Whole Foods. What would usually take me about 15-30 minutes took me almost 2 hours. I only spent $30 and spent 2 hours reading labels. I can't wait to get use to this and know exactly what to buy because that was an afternoon wasted! Especially when I'm still fasting LOL

I also went on the hunt for a gluten-free birthday cake. Since my birthday is tomorrow and I'm still on the fast, I have to wait until February. Whole Foods apparently doesn't make gluten-free cakes. I have to find a specialty baker or bake one myself. No thanks. Hopefully it gets easier soon!

Also, if you left a comment in my post the other day but have a no-reply email, I can NOT respond back to you. I appreciate your advice and would love to chat some more but I can't when I don't have the option to reply back! Please fix this ladies so you can interact with other bloggers!

Tomorrow night Bishop TD Jakes will be kicking off our Awakening Conference at church! Can I tell y'all just how excited I am? I think it's pretty awesome that it starts on my birthday AND he will be speaking first! Wednesday night? Steven Furtick! Remember when I was doing the bible study called "Greater''? HIS book! So excited to hear these two speak!

How are y'all doing with the "A Confident Heart' online bible study?! I haven't heard anything from ANYONE so I hope y'all haven't all dropped on me! LOL

Let's discuss! Share your posts!

Happy Monday y'all!

Stick with whole/clean foods at first. Veggies, meats, fruits, nuts, etc. Quinoa is gluten free and is a carb if you're craving carbs! I really like http://simplygluten-free.com/ for recipes and I also find a lot of inspiration on Pinterest! The more research you do, the more comfortable you will feel--I'd say start with Pinterest. :) Good luck!!
