Derby Hats and OCD Love

 Happy Monday Friends!

In two weeks I will be running in my second half marathon.
My predicted finish time? 2:45. ha!

 

Yeah. That's almost an hour off of my first time and I'm 100% sure this time will much worse.
Since you know? I haven't ran since November.

Anyone in the Portland area running in the RNR race and want to be my pacer aka the person who yells at me and drags me to the finish line? 

I should probably run tonight. Also, I have a cold. So yeah. This will be fun!

My goal for this race is to finish alive! and to have good race pictures. Ones that don't make me look like I'm in pain or I'm dying. Or like I'm singing Lady Gaga. Because that? that happened.

 This weekend we took Kins to the zoo for the first time. The only thing she was really interested in was the "puppy". Which was really a puppy on a guys wheelchair. A Dachshund. At the zoo. I figured she was just calling another animal or a random child a "puppy" but this time she was right. At the friggin zoo. lol

On the train taking a tour. She was more interested in the little girl sitting behind us wearing a big "derby" hat.

After being in the heat all morning we left and stopped by Babies R Us where Kinsley wanted to flaunt a hat for the Derby as well.

She wanted both. Such a demanding child.

We went to my grandparents house later that afternoon for an inpromtu BBQ and dip in the pool. I love lazy summer afternoons spent with the family. All of the story telling and laughter. Even if the stories are the same over and over. I never get tired of it :)

Yesterday was way too much cleaning and getting laundry done to leave town this week. For. fourteen. days. I don't even know how I'm going to do this. I'm already homesick just thinking about it! M was nice enough to let me keep K this weekend so I could spend time with her before I left. Which was really nice because I don't know how I'm going to get through these next two weeks without seeing her.
