A Peacock and A Diva

One of the things that I remember about my mom growing up was that she was an artist.
She had this great ability to draw and paint anything.
I still have a lot of her paintings.

So I knew that when I was invited to a local painting class that I would have a lot of fun and kind of be in my element.

Friday night after work, some girls and I went to Yes! You Canvas! for a class.
We chose a peacock to paint and I was so excited!
Err hello? Living room? Grey, Yellow, and Turquoise (I seriously blanked on how to spell that ha!)

Blank Canvas.
Beginning of the painting.
It was a lot easier than I thought it would be.

Final Product!

I had such a great time doing this class that I can't wait for the next one.

After I channeled my inner Picasso, I went home and slept for 10 glorious hours.

Saturday I hit up Target, West Elm, and Kirklands.
I didn't buy a SINGLE THING! nothing!

What is happening?

No worries though because I came out of Publix with groceries sooo..

For Saturday nights dinner I decided to try something new. Since Mr. A forgot to defrost the ground beef. ahem

We had blue cheese flank steak wraps.

Oh my word.

YUM!
recipe will be up later this afternoon.

Super Mom moments came in spurts this weekend as I had to keep building things for Kinsley.
Her play area in the living room was starting to look like a war zone.
I decided it was time for a toy box or at least a storage system that would be easy for her to destroy work with.

The storage system went from this to this:

I love how it turned out! I only wish that I took a before picture of the play area.
No worries though. It didn't stay this tidy for long.

The Easter Bunny was extra special to K this year and one of the things that "she" brought her was a "car". Which of course ma had to put together.

Can we discuss what a pain in the ass this thing was to put together?!

Holy cow I should've hired one of the neighbors.

an hour and a half, sore fingers, and one loose bolt later

I'm not sure if it took so long because it was hard or because it was even harder with a toddler who kept trying to climb in it while I was trying to finish. lol

"quit taking my pic ma and let's GO!' ha!

We went for a walk around the block and a good time was had.

She had to have a ride to the bath tub, from the bath to the living room, to her bed, from her bed this morning to the living room, to the car, and into GiGis living room.
Yes, that thing came with us this morning so GiGi can tote her everywhere in it.

I have a demanding little Diva on my hands.

this morning.

Easter update coming up! It deserves it's own post.

Happy Monday!
