"OH! How Pinteresting!"

If you follow me on Twitter then you know how much I have despised Pinterest this week. Get it together people of pinterest crew. Or I'm going to boycott it and make my own website! Word.

If you follow my boards on pinterest, as you should be, because they are awesome, as am I, then I hope you noticed I added a new board...formerly known as"My Pinterest Wedding"...now called "Round Two" possibly could be changed to "Let's Try This Again".  I'm taking this opportunity to make a wedding that I really want. Whether it happens or not. At least the Pinning world will have my vision.

Must Be Doing Something Right

You know what makes me insanely jealous?

The fact that moms out there, who also blog, can form full, coherent sentences. The moms who can make me laugh so hard and brighten my day with one paragraph. Like my lovah, AP. or my newly lover hater of running, Katie. (what what?)

You're lucky if you get a blog post out of me at all really. Do they make sense? Usually not. Do you want to throw something at me after reading? Good chance. I should probably spend more time writing about things that are substantial and releasing the writer in me.  (hello? I do this for a living!)

However, in all of my jealousy comes being insanely proud.

Why you ask?

Because THREE people got to my blog by googling "Let me clean off my bitch slapper" this week.

This.Week.
& it's only Tuesday.

I must be doing something right.

Happy Tuesday Y'all!

You're Doing it Wrong

Whew it feels good to be back into a "normal" routine. I'm so glad that I got to spend four continuous days with Miss K though. We don't get to do that too often since I work and she was so clingy and so snuggly. Eee. I'm going to miss that during the day this week.

Thanksgiving was wonderful! I finally got to spend time with my sisters. It was a non stressful time which was much needed. I didn't venture with the rest of the crazies for Black Friday though this year. I'm preparing myself for next year though and I'm starting early! I'm regretting once again for waiting until the last minute to start shopping. I have NOTHING so far. NOTHING. No bueno.

But I do however have a pretty little tree up now :)

The Starbucks tree made it's appearance. I figured it would be the safest tree to put up this year since Kinsley is eating everything, including baby Jesus. True Story.

I've been so excited all year to decorate the house, especially the foyer, for Christmas. I'm sad that I don't get to enjoy it for long though. Boo.

Here are a few pics from this long weekend:
You're doing it wrong.
There you go. She doesn't even USE a paci. lol She randomly found this haha
Such a proud mama because she can finally wear her baby Sperrys! Squee!
That'd be us just out of bed on Sunday morning. lol You're welcome blog world.

I'm sad to see this weekend end but at least we have pictures to look forward to on Saturday afternoon with Corinna! yay!

On a running note, Half Marathon #2 training starts today! & by training I actually mean, I'm actually training this time. Not slacking and hoping for the best like I did with RNR Savannah.

Here's what it looks like for the next 11 weeks. ONLY 11 weeks until #2. Holy Crap.

I'm kind of really freakin excited to train this time to see if I beat my time from Savannah. God I'd hope so. lol

Thanks to everyone who put in their favorite songs to run to! Page is still being worked on. Should be up by the end of this week!

Happy Monday Y'all!

Thankful

With the tough times that have been going on lately, it's been a while since I've focused on what I'm thankful for. It's almost hard to remember when you're constantly thinking about the bad things happening. I think it's important to ground yourself every now & then and remember what's truly important. So with that said I'm thankful for:
  • Still having a good relationship with M. Things could have gone a lot worse than they have and for that I'm extremely grateful. Especially since Kinsley will see it.
  • My beautiful baby girl who puts so much meaning into my life. Her smile, giggles, and little tiny baby hugs are what makes my world go around.
  • Being able to move forward and start new. Having the strength and guidance to do so.
  • The amazing support team that I've surrounded myself with. Seriously, without these ladies I would lose my mind.
  • Most importantly I'm thankful for a God who forgives. A God who I know is on my side no matter what. A God who is guiding me down the path that he has chosen for me & lighting the way.
"I can't live by what I feel, but by the truth Your word reveals
I'm not holding on to You, but You're holding on to me

Jesus, You know just how far the east is from the west

I don't have to see the man I've been come rising up in me again
In the arms of Your mercy I find rest
'cause You know just how far the east is from the west
From one scarred hand to the other"-Casting Crowns

Hope Y'all have a Happy Thanksgiving!

I would have never thought to use a plate stand in the bathroom, but this completely makes sense!

Rock My Run

When it comes to running and working out, I'm the type of person who NEEDS some serious pick me up music to get through it. Some people can do it without anything but not me. I have to have something else to focus on. So I've compiled a list of my favorite songs that I run to.

Just a heads up, a really awesome site to get pre made playlists from, is Rock My Run. AWESOME site with tons of free playlists.

Here's what my typical Running Playlist looks like:

  • Bright Lights, Bigger City-Cee-Lo
  • Stereo Hearts-Gym Class Heroes & Adam Levine
  •  Jammin (Olav Basoski Mix)-Bob Marley
  • All of the Lights-Kanye West ft Rhianna
  • Rolling in the Sandstorm (DJ Antoine Mashup)-Adele vs. Darude
  •  Day N Night (Crookers Remix)-Kid Cudi
  •  Bleed it Out-Linkin Park
  •  Welcome to the Jungle-Guns N' Roses
  •  You Give Love a Bad Name (Electro Urban Remix)- Bon Jovi feat. Ludacris
  • When You Were Young- The Killers
  • Good Feeling- Flo Rida
  • Russian Roulette- Rhianna
  • Fell in Love in a Hopeless Place- Rhianna
  • Maneater-Nelly Furtado
There's tons more but these usually get me through the majority of my miles. Seriously, Rock my Run has some kick ass playlists that are already compiled into mashups. awesooome.
Along with the other new stuff going on on the blog, I'm adding a "Runners Playlist" section.
Have a favorite song or want to add some songs to the section to give other runners some ideas? Leave them in a comment and I'll add them to the page!

Happy Tuesday Y'all!

Also, later this week I have an exciting post coming up involving NUUN! Wheee!

this blog is:

It's a dump

I don't know how else to explain my weekend other than in an iphone photo dump. There was cleaning. There was running. There was coffee drinking. There was laughing. and then there was "holy crap where is my little baby going" asking.

This was last week. We busted out the Christmas jammies.
On the way to St Augustine Saturday night.
Yikes. After 4 miles on Sunday.
you know...just catching up on her celeb gossip.
After this picture was taking she proceeded to eat Kim Kardashians face off.

I'm so proud.

I finally took down the Halloween decorations. I'm conflicted in putting up the Christmas decorations right now since I'm in the middle of packing for moving out in January. I will have my mini Starbucks tree up this weekend though :)
But I am so ready for everything to be done so I can feel settled again lol

Hope y'all had a good weekend!

Happy Monday Y'all! (& 3 day week)

Running Gear

After the Rock and Roll Savannah 1/2 Marathon, I received a few emails asking me what I was wearing and where I got the swag. I figured a post would be a good place to put that.

This Nike Jacket I bought the morning before the race. I didn't know it was going to be cold until a few days before that weekend. In Florida you don't worry about running in a jacket usually so I wasn't prepared at all. I found this jacket at Academy Sports for $50. I love it! It's super soft and just the right amount of thickness to keep you warm but cool at the same time. I want to say that it's Dri-Fit as well but I'm really not 100% sure. I tried finding it online for y'all but it wasn't on there :(
Sorry for the horrible pic.
The pants were a BIG SCORE! Originally $40 but once I got to the checkout they rang up $2.88! It was a mistake but the cashier said not to worry about it. Uh, Awesome.
I also found them at Academy Sports at the last minute. I was originally going to wear shorts but it was entirely too cold to do so.

Shoes were the Sauconys that I blogged about a few weeks ago. I was impressed with how comfortable they were for the entire 13.1 miles. I'm convinced these are the running shoes that I've needed all along and really glad that I broke down and bought them.

The other main thing that I was asked about was my sparkly pink headband. BIC BANDS people. Bic Bands. If you don't have one, you need to go to the site right this second and stock up.
I wear mine ALL.THE.TIME. It's the only band that I've found that doesn't slip no matter how sweaty my hair gets. Plus they have tons of fun patters and colors to choose from.
I'm not the first person to rave about these so just do yourself a favor and go buy one.

Hope y'all have a good weekend!

I'll be running and cleaning. Woo.

Happy Friday Y'all!
